Transactional Analysis (TA)
Could you benefit from knowing even a little TA?
TAwas developed by Eric Berne who made complex inter-personal transactions easier to understand when he recognised that the human personality is made up of three ego states (Parent – Adult – Child). Each ego state is an entire system of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours from which we interact with one another.
There are a number of applications and benefits to learning even a little TA:
It’s extremely useful in helping people understand themselves and one another so that they are better able to build relationships, communicate without misunderstanding and to manage stressful and tense situations.
Whether you’re in business, a parent, or interested in personal development, Eric Berne’s Transactional Analysis (TA) theories will enrich your interactions with people, and your understanding of yourself.
“TA is a simple but rich model for understanding how all humans interact with one another.” Eleanor Yearwood, MD, Key Talent Partners
